Mayfield Arts, Newbury House

Connecting through Creativity

Mayfield Arts, Newbury House is a unique dedicated arts space based in the heart of Mayfield at Newbury House Family Centre. Mayfield Arts develops, manages and delivers arts programmes in consultation with the local community and according to funding received.

Our Vision

We envisage a community of people engaged, creative and connected, using their passions and talents to create a more positive future.

The Arts Centre will be a vibrant, welcoming and creative space. We will promote the rights of all people from Mayfield and beyond to participate in the cultural life of their communities, expressing and celebrating their creativity and cultural rights.

We will provide opportunities for participants to connect, learn, act and reflect through creative processes.

We will be an example of best practice in the fields of community arts, social inclusion, development education, non-formal and community education.

 These are our values, what we stand for as an organisation.  Our values are like the roots of a tree, feeding and stabilising us as an organisation;

•Creativity and passion

•Understanding and empathy

•Recognising and promoting multiple perspectives, intelligences and ways of expressing and learning

•Response-ability (ability to respond)

•Human Rights

 The ethos of Mayfield Arts, Newbury House is based on putting these values into practice by connecting, learning, acting and reflecting.
