FESTIVAL OF THE BULLS
The first ever Festival of the Bulls took place on the June bank holiday weekend 2007. This festival aimed to involve communities in the northside of Cork City to celebrate local culture and the culture of new communities.
Mayfield Community Arts Centre were asked to work with a number of different groups to create some visual art for the festival.
Working on the theme of place and memory the groups spent 6 weeks working on large mixed-media panels. These were hung in the windows of the new office developments at Blackpool shopping centre for the duration of the festival
